The Book of Jasher - Creation through the Joshua
If we follow the order of the Cepher bible, Jubilees is the THIRD book after the Torah.
Unlike the 15 books of the Apocypha, Jasher was not included in the original 1611 King James bible, nor was it found among the scrolls in the Dead Sea caves as far as I can tell (ref), HOWEVER, the book of Jasher is referenced THREE times in our standard 66 book bible. Two of the references are to "book of Jasher" in the Old Testament. The third reference is not as straight forward. In 2 Timothy, a letter/epistle to Timothy, two people are mentioned that are also mentioned in the book of Jasher (Jannes & Jambres). The specific verses are included below.
Does Jasher being referenced in our mainstream bible make Jasher scripture? I can't say. However, if true, this book sure does answer a lot of questions. I highly recommend.
So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies.
Is it not written in the book of Jashar?
And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky
and did not hasten to go for about a whole day.
